Paul Hughes is a jazz vocalist from Manchester, England, currently recording an album of original songs at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. The project is produced by Sal Oliveri and co-written with Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Byron Hill and Roger Brown. Hill says, ‘Songs literally come alive when Paul performs them,’ while Oliveri calls him ‘the real deal.’
Hughes began singing at twelve and developed his craft performing worldwide on major cruise lines. His style draws from the tradition of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Nat King Cole.
Known for his phrasing and sense of swing, Hughes has been praised by Grammy-winning arranger Nan Schwartz for ‘holding the torch high for future generations.’ Bill Schnee adds, ‘He brings an instrumental approach to the voice’ a tremendously stylish storyteller.’
