Louisiana-born Scott Campbell is known throughout the world as being one of the most influential figures in tattooing. He Began tattooing at the age of 19 in San Francisco, where he worked at one of the oldest street shops shops in California. His career started with the stories and nicotine stained designs of 90’s biker gangs until he moved on to open the legendary Saved Tattoo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The work coming out of that studio brought him to the attention of some of the most prestigious galleries and museums worldwide and led him to tattoo numerous award winning actors, billionaire art collectors, even leaders of nations. In his own words- “I’m pretty decent at the craft of tattooing, but if anything has helped my career along, it’s that I put a lot of energy into really giving a shit about the people I tattoo.”
He now lives in Pasadena with his two children and runs Saved Tattoo in downtown Los Angeles. Saved is a collective of talented artists that Scott has helped gain momentum in the tattoo world. “Saved Tattoo is named out of gratitude for this weirdo skill our hands have learned that has saved us from having to get real jobs.”
